COP30 is from November 10 – 21, 2025 in Belém, Brazil. Links to daily updates, written by United Methodists who will be attending the event in-person and virtually, will be posted daily to this page during the conference.
The COP30 Heads of State Summit is also scheduled to take place on November 6 and 7, 2025, in Belém. That summit is part of the official activities of the conference, which will then run from November 10 to 21.
Rev. Dr. Becca Edwards is the United Methodist Climate and Energy Fellow working with the General Board of Church and Society; she will be attending COP30 in Brazil. Conference Caretaker Coordinators will be official virtual observers for COP30; the Caretakers team are Rev. Laura Baumgartner, Rev. Jonathan Brake, Rev. Mel Caraway, Grace Pugh Hubbard, Rev. Joan Pell, and Nate Weiland.
