The theme for this year is Healing the World, with the guiding scripture as Isaiah 58:12,
Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;

Sustainable ACS
- Water Bottles and Travel Cups
Bring your reusable water bottle and your travel coffee cup to ACS!! Help us reduce what’s getting tossed out. The water fountains at the convention center have filtered water and they will be well identified for you to find. Starbucks, located in the Convention Center, will give you a discount for using your own cup. If you have an extra water bottle and would like to donate it for someone else to use, please, bring it along. There will be a place for them at the Oasis table in the Lobby. Bottled water will not be available. - Ride Sharing
If you are traveling to ACS, then please try to ride share or use public transport as much is feasible. - Avoiding Paper
Please consider how much you are printing and use your electronic devices as much as possible.
Digital Display, Display Table and Handouts
Our Digital Display video along with the board for our Display Table seek to answer the question What can you and your church do to care for the earth and bring healing to the world in a fair and just way? Our answers can also be found on our Ideas Page and where you will also find a downloadable handout.

On the Conference Digital Display page, there is a video from our Task Force. We also have an ideas page to accompany the video with clickable links to all the ideas mentioned in the video.

We will have a Display Table in the Display area. Stop by to take a look at the information there. During the breaks, you should find one of us there to talk to you.
We have a limited number of printed handouts at the display table, so please consider going paperless and download them. We also have a page to accompany the display with clickable links to all the ideas mentioned on the display board.
Advocacy & Justice Dinner & Action Fair
Join the Conference Advocacy & Justice Dinner & Action Fair on Friday June 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sacrament First UMC (2100 J St, Sacramento, CA 95816). All are welcome to attend – you do not need to be an ACS delegate.

The evening will highlight the six task forces that serve under the Advocacy and Justice Committee including our Climate Justice Ministries Task Force—each addressing different ministries yet united in confronting the ongoing realities of racism. Following the meal, participants will have the opportunity to speak with the presenters, ask questions, and learn about important anti-racism actions they can take part in. Cost $25 and registration required.
Our presentation and action will focus on stopping federal legislation (H.R. 8330 & S. 4340) from passing. This “Big Oil Immunity” bill would preempt initiatives at the state level and local level to make polluters pay for climate damages, by granting oil and gas companies immunity from any laws or lawsuits that could hold them accountable for their role in the climate crisis. We have a webpage with more information and a handout that you can also download.
