Make Big Oil pay for Climate Damages
This year California has a chance to pass a groundbreaking piece of climate legislation that would make polluters pay to protect our communities from the climate crisis. Just Faith offer small group programs that advance peace, racial equity and a sustainable world for use at any time of the year. They currently have three Eco-Justice courses that you can organize and run. Each program in the eco-justice series includes eight 2-hour sessions, an immersion experience, and an optional get-to-know-you session. 10 Minutes Outside
One of the goals set by the Climate Justice Ministries Task Force for this year is to encourage every church member of the the California-Nevada Annual Conference to spend 10 minutes outside each day. We firmly believe that our actions –and our energy — for earth justice work must befed and empowered by nurturing our love for God’s creation, and this simple practiceis an important step in that direction.
Basics for churches
There are six 90-minute videos on our YouTube Channel that our Task Force created in 2023 on “Climate Change, Climate Justice, Climate Action: The Basics for Churches.” Most of the speakers are from our Annual Conference. Watching and discussing these videos is a good entry point to climate justice work.
